Kochi: The mortal remains of actor Innocent were brought to Irinjalakuda, his native place on Monday afternoon.

Many thronged Town Hall in Irinjalakuda to see their favourite actor for one last time.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan paid homage along with his family members.

Body of Innocent will be taken to his house later today. The funeral is at Irinjalakuda St Thomas Cathedral on Tuesday at 10 am.

The actor, a cancer survivor, was not well for some time and was admitted to a hospital with respiratory problems weeks ago. He passed away on Sunday night. He is survived by his wife Alice, and son, Sonnet.
