Following a grand public celebration hosted by the Government of Kerala in his honour, Malayalam cinema icon Mohanlal took to social media to express his heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of love and recognition.

The actor, who was recently awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, India’s highest cinematic honour, shared an emotional note on X (formerly Twitter), saying:

“Moments like these fill me with profound gratitude.

My sincere thanks to the Government of Kerala for the honour and warmth shown during the felicitation held in celebration of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

I remain deeply grateful to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, the Ministers, and all esteemed dignitaries who graced the occasion.

Above all, to each and every person who came together to share this special moment—your love, blessings, and unwavering support will always be my greatest reward.”

The heartfelt message came after the state hosted a grand felicitation event titled ‘Malayalam Vaanolam, Lal Salaam’ at Central Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. The venue was packed with fans, dignitaries, and artists who came together to celebrate the actor's decades-long contribution to Indian cinema.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, along with key ministers and cultural figures, attended the celebration, lauding Mohanlal’s artistic legacy and global appeal.
