The legendary actors are currently reuniting for the highly anticipated political espionage thriller 'Patriot', directed by Mahesh Narayanan, marking their first major collaboration on the big screen in years.

During filming, Mammootty honoured Mohanlal on set to celebrate his Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2023 win. The warm moment was captured in a video shared on Instagram, where Mammootty is seen draping a ponnada (shawl) over Mohanlal as the cast and crew applauded the milestone. The gesture quickly resonated with fans across social media.

Mohanlal was recently announced as the recipient of the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award, India’s highest recognition in cinema, for his remarkable contribution to Indian film over the decades.
