After 24 years, Vishal Krishnamoorthy, Maheswar, and Aleena are back in front of the audience. The makers of Mohanlal's classic romance horror film ‘Devadoothan’ are gearing up for a grand re-release. 

The film will hit theatres on July 26, generating excitement among fans and cinephiles. Directed by Sibi Malayil, the film is now being re-released in superb 4K visual quality and sound. Director Sibi Malayil says that it will offer a new cinematic experience. The re-mastered and re-edited version will hit theatres soon.

Raghunath Paleri is the screenwriter of the movie. Ahead of the re-release, the trailer launch of the film was held in Kochi. The trailer of the film was released in a ceremony attended by Mohanlal and Sibi Malayil, with sound and visuals upgraded to 4K and Dolby Atmos. ‘Devadoothan’ is a thriller that combines horror, mystery, love, and music.

Starring Mohanlal as composer and singer Vishal Krishnamoorthy, the story revolves around Vishal reminiscing about his initial struggles and an unknown soul that inspires him to compose songs. The intriguing plot, Mohanlal's impressive performance, and the mesmerizing music by Vidyasagar are building momentum among the audience to watch the film again. The film is produced by Siyad Koker under the banner of Kokers Films. Vidyasagar has composed the music for Kaithapram's lyrics. The singers in the film are KJ Yesudas, M Jayachandran, MG Sreekumar, KS Chithra, Sujatha, and S Janaki. The film won three state awards, including Best Popular Film, Best Costume Design, and Best Music Direction. The makers are hoping that the new generation will accept the film, which once brought innovations in sound and visual arrangement, story background, and music, in its second coming.
