Amul, known for its witty and iconic topical ads, has celebrated the historic achievement of veteran actor Mohanlal with a special tribute on its social media. The actor, who has mesmerised audiences for over four decades, was recently honoured with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award at the 71st National Film Awards ceremony on September 23, 2023.

With a career spanning more than 350 films across Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada, the 65-year-old actor, director, and producer has set a golden standard in the industry.

Mohanlal’s cinematic journey began with his first film ‘Thiranottam’ in 1978. Over the years, he has delivered some of the most memorable performances in films like ‘Thanmathra’, ‘Drishyam’, ‘Vanaprastham’, ‘Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol’, and ‘Pulimurugan’, becoming an irreplaceable figure in Malayalam cinema and beyond.

His recognition by the Dadasaheb Phalke Award Selection Committee is seen as a well-deserved honour for his exceptional contribution to the world of film.
