Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane, beloved by Indian audiences for her role in the Bollywood film Sanam Teri Kasam, has officially tied the knot with actor Ameer Gilani. The couple delighted their fans on Wednesday by sharing a series of beautiful wedding photos on social media.
In the enchanting images, Mawra radiates grace in an intricately embroidered lehenga. Sharing the photos on social media she wrote, "And in the middle of chaos… I found you. BISMILLAH 5.2.25."
Mawra and Ameer, who had previously appeared together in popular TV dramas had kept their relationship largely private. Despite never making a public confirmation, their frequent social media exchanges and joint appearances had left fans speculating and shipping them as a couple.
Mawra made her mark in Bollywood with Sanam Teri Kasam, a film in which she starred alongside Harshvardhan Rane. The movie, which holds a special place in the hearts of fans, will return to cinemas on February 7 to coincide with the Valentine's Day season.
The movie, written and directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, was the Hindi film debut of both Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane. Sanam Teri Kasam is a modern retelling of the Shiva-Sati legend, inspired by the novel Love Story by Erich Segal.
The film tells the heartrending tale of Inder (Harshvardhan Rane) and Saru (Mawra Hocane). Despite their deep love and marriage, their happiness is cut short by a tragic turn of events that changes their lives forever.
