Kochi: A lower court has issued an order to freeze the bank account of producers of 'Manjummel Boys' movie.
The order was issued by the court after considering a plea moved by Aroor native Siraj.
The petitioner claimed that he had invested Rs 7 crores for the movie, yet he was left empty-handed without a penny after his investment or got any share of the profit.
The court directed the officials to freeze the bank accounts of producers Soubin Shahir, Babu Shahir and Shawn Antony. The court also served a notice to the producers.
Manjummel Boys, released in February, is the first movie to reach Rs 200 crores in box office collection. The film continues to do well in box offices outside the state.
