The much-awaited Mammootty-starrer ‘Kannur Squad’, Mammootty Kampany’s fourth film, has locked its release date. The  investigation thriller, helmed by Roby Varghese Raj, will hit the theatres on September 28. The film has been censored with U/A certification. 

The release date was announced on the official social media page of Mammootty Kampany with the caption, “The countdown has begun! Brace for impact as @kannursquad taking charge across screens worldwide on September 28th! Get ready to Welcome George Martin & Team (fire emoji).” 

‘Kannur Squad’ is written by Muhammed Shafi and Rony David Raj. It is expected to tell the gripping tale of a police officer and his squad’s efforts to catch a criminal gang. Earlier, the film’s trailer had received wide attention among viewers. 

The film also features Kishore Kumar, Vijayaraghavan, Azees Nedumangad, Sabareesh, Manoj KU and Rony David among others in significant roles.
