Following the release of the Hema Committee report, which highlighted serious allegations against several filmmakers, young actor Navajith Narayan has made a distressing accusation against a director. Navajith claims that the director acted inappropriately when he requested a chance to work in a film.

“He is a director I have known for years. The meeting took place at his apartment. During the meeting, the director grabbed my thigh and asked what he would get in return if I was given a chance in his film. Even when I made it clear that I wasn't interested in such arrangements, he ignored my response. I left after slapping him in the face,” said Navajith

Meanwhile, allegations of harassment and sexual exploitation in the film industry continue to surface, leading a special police team to take action. The team, which includes women officers, has begun collecting preliminary information related to these claims.

On Tuesday, the police chief will lead a meeting to outline the investigation, which is set to commence the following day. The investigation will be thorough, led by women officers including a Deputy Inspector General (DIG). If any complainants are willing to provide statements, these will be recorded as part of the inquiry.
