Malayalam fantasy entertainer `Magic Mushrooms` drops a new Shankar Mahadevan song! Comedy, magic, family fun. Releasing Jan 23. Don`t miss it!

The makers of the upcoming Malayalam fantasy entertainer Magic Mushrooms have unveiled a brand-new song sung by Shankar Mahadevan, adding fresh buzz ahead of the film’s theatrical release on January 23. Directed by Nadirshah and starring Vishnu Unnikrishnan in the lead, the film promises a lively mix of comedy, chaos and magical elements aimed at family audiences.
The newly released track, ‘Onnaam Kunnin Meloruthy…’, penned by Santhosh Varma and composed by Nadirshah, is already being tipped as a crowd favourite. This marks another collaboration between Nadirshah, Vishnu and Shankar Mahadevan after the hit song ‘Minnaminnikkum' from Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan, raising expectations for the film’s music album.
Akshaya Udayakumar stars as the female lead in Magic Mushrooms, which is produced by Ashraf Pilakkal under the banner of Manchadi Creations, with Bhavana Release handling distribution. The story, screenplay and dialogues have been written by debutant Aakash Dev.
The film’s soundtrack has already gained traction, with ‘Aarane Aarane…’ — the first-ever duet of K.S. Chithra and Rimi Tomy — earning widespread praise. Another song, ‘Thalodi Marayuvathevide Nee…’, sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Hanan Shaah, was also warmly received. Meanwhile, the trailer continues to trend across social media platforms.
Featuring a large ensemble cast including Harisree Ashokan, Aju Varghese, Johny Antony, Jaffer Idukki, Siddharth Bharathan and others, Magic Mushrooms also boasts an impressive lineup of playback singers such as Shankar Mahadevan, K.S. Chithra, Shreya Ghoshal, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Jassie Gift and Rimi Tomy.
