Mumbai: After weeks of speculation and leaks, it’s finally official — iconic rock band Mumbai: Linkin Park will perform live in India for the first time as part of Lollapalooza India 2026. The global music festival will return to Mahalaxmi Race Course, Mumbai, on January 25–26, 2026, and fans are already calling it the biggest lineup announcement yet.

Linkin Park’s First-Ever India Performance

The band will headline Lollapalooza India as part of their From World Zero World Tour, showcasing their first album since 2017’s One More Light and their first project since the tragic loss of frontman Chester Bennington.

Their comeback album, From World Zero, has been praised for carrying forward Chester’s legacy while giving the band a fresh creative direction. On stage in Mumbai, fans can expect timeless classics like Numb, In The End, What I’ve Done, and Castle of Glass, alongside brand-new tracks.

This concert will also mark the India debut of new vocalist Emily Armstrong, drummer Colin Brittain, and live guitarist Alex Federer, with co-founder Mike Shinoda continuing to lead the band’s evolution.

In the band’s official newsletter, Shinoda expressed excitement, writing:

“India has been somewhere we’ve wanted to play for a long time. Our fans there are incredibly passionate, and we can’t wait to finally bring our live show to them.”

Tickets for Lollapalooza India 2026 went live on BookMyShow at:

  • 11 am, August 26, for RuPay cardholders
  • 12 pm, August 2,8 for the general public

Due to high demand, the platform briefly paused sales, but tickets will resume at 9:30 am on August 29. Fans are advised to book early before the first phases sell out.

Bank of Baroda Leak Created Buzz

Interestingly, Linkin Park’s India debut was accidentally revealed early when Bank of Baroda sent out a message to its members, hinting at the upcoming performance before any official announcement from the band or festival organizers. This slip only added to the hype, with fans flooding social media in anticipation.

Lollapalooza India Returns to Original Dates

After shifting dates in 2025 to avoid clashing with Coldplay’s India tour, the festival is back to its traditional January slot. With Linkin Park now confirmed, fans can expect more global and Indian artists to be revealed in the coming weeks.
