Dulquer Salmaan’s production house, Wayfarer Films, has marked a historic moment in Malayalam cinema with its seventh feature film, Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra. The film began screening across Kerala from 6 a.m. on Sunday, just four days after its theatrical release – a first in the history of Malayalam cinema.

This unprecedented move comes in response to overwhelming audience demand, with early morning shows added to accommodate soaring interest. The film, which continues to enjoy a phenomenal run both within and beyond Kerala, is creating waves at the box office, receiving widespread praise from critics and audiences alike.

Directed and written by Dominic Arun, this high-budget fantasy drama stars Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen in the lead roles. The film is receiving an exceptional response, with its Telugu and Tamil versions trending and making strong strides towards becoming superhits in their respective markets.

Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra is being screened across more than 300 theatres in Kerala, many of which have reported sold-out shows. The film has garnered extraordinary public support, making it one of the most talked-about Malayalam releases in recent years.
