Akanksha Chamola has made another deeply personal revelation on Lock Upp 2. Just days after opening up about being bisexual, the actor has now said she currently identifies as asexual, explaining that she has no interest in physical relationships as she navigates her divorce from actor Gaurav Khanna.

The conversation came up while she was speaking to fellow contestant Varun Yadav about relationships, marriage and how her outlook on life has changed.

'I don't want sex right now'

Talking about where she is emotionally, Akanksha admitted that fear has changed the way she looks at intimacy.

"Mere ko darr baith gaya hain (A deep fear has set in)."

She then explained that she believes sexuality can change depending on what a person is going through.

"Sexuality keeps changing. Aap ke phases ke upar hota hain ki… mera abhi divorce ho raha hain mujhe abhi kisi se sex nahi chahiye. Ladkiyo ke saath bhi nahi chahiye, admiyo ke saath bhi nahi chahiye. Mera alag phase chal raha hain isey kehte hain asexual".

(It depends upon your life phase. I am now going through a divorce and I don't want sex now, neither from men nor from women. This is called asexuality).

In another chat with contestant Pamela, Akanksha also made it clear that she has no plans to marry again.

Looking back, she said she got married at just 24. When Pamela told her she would eventually find someone else, Akanksha smiled but disagreed.

"I don't want to get married again. I think I am done. But for the first time in my life, main akeli rehne waali hoon. Like, not under my parents' roof or my husband's roof. I am going to have my own house. I am going to ride solo for life now."

She added that living on her own is something she is looking forward to.

Why the marriage ended

Akanksha also spoke about what eventually led to the end of her marriage with Gaurav Khanna.

She revealed that while she had once been open to the idea of becoming a mother, she gradually realised parenthood was not for her.

"Jab hum shaadi mein the, mera maternal instinct kabhi nahi tha (When we were married, I never had a maternal instinct). But I was open to discovering it, and it was never shut down. Gradually, however, I realised that I am not meant for it, and he was okay with that. But I guess, in time, that shifted."

This comes days after her bisexuality revelation

Akanksha's latest confession comes only days after fellow contestant Shreya Kalra revealed one of her "lifelines" on the show, prompting the actor to publicly acknowledge that she is bisexual.

Sharing her experience, Akanksha said she had never personally told Shreya about her sexuality.

"I never told her from my end that I am bisexual, but it is one of my secrets. I was bisexual before marriage. I have had some relationships with girls. While they haven't been intimate, I have been in a relationship with a few females. I like women; it is my safe space."

Akanksha and Gaurav Khanna married in November 2016. During the Lock Upp 2 premiere, she revealed that they had been living separately and were heading towards divorce.

However, when Gaurav appeared on the reality show later, he clarified that the legal process has not yet begun.

"We just discussed it, no petition was signed, nothing is official."

He also pointed out that they are still legally married.
