Lionel Richie is back home and recovering after checking himself into hospital following a St. Louis concert, weeks after another on-stage health scare.

Lionel Richie is back home and recovering after being hospitalised following a concert in St. Louis over the weekend, according to ABC News.
The singer checked himself into hospital as a precaution after headlining The Muny's annual summer finale concert on Saturday night. A source close to Richie's tour had earlier confirmed that the musician sought medical attention after the show.
Richie is now back home and on the mend.
The hospital visit came just months after another health scare interrupted one of the singer's performances. In June, Richie was forced to abruptly halt a concert in Minnesota after appearing to fall ill on stage.
At the time, Richie, who was touring with Earth, Wind & Fire, told the audience that he was feeling dizzy. He continued performing several songs while seated before leaving the stage for an intermission. He did not return to complete the show.
Two subsequent shows were postponed before Richie made his return to the stage in Pittsburgh on June 30. He and Earth, Wind & Fire later completed their joint tour, wrapping up the run earlier this month in Austin, Texas.
Saturday's St. Louis concert was Richie's first performance since the tour ended.
The singer currently has 10 more shows listed for 2026, with his next scheduled performance set for September 26 at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
