Amid many people from inside and outside the film industry reacting to the Hema Committee report, acclaimed director Lijo Jose Pellissery's words on Facebook are driving attention.

“I strongly believe that the statements and complaints that have come before the Hema committee should be approached with the utmost seriousness they deserve,” Lijo Jose Pellissery said, adding that silence will not resolve the issue.

Many people have responded to the director's post. One's response is to let the sound come out slowly. At least one person from the film industry has come forward to comment, you are a ‘man’ in the film industry.

Meanwhile, the High Court has asked the Hema Committee to produce the complete report in a sealed cover. This directive was issued as the court reviewed a petition seeking to initiate a criminal case based on the revelations in the Hema Committee Report. The petition also requested that the state government provide the uncensored report to the Director General of Police (DGP) to begin criminal proceedings against those implicated in sexual crimes within the film industry. The government has time until September 10 to submit the report.
