
Kochi: Veteran filmmaker KG George, who breathed his last on Sunday, will be laid to rest with state honours on Tuesday. His mortal remains will be kept for public homage from 11 am till 3 pm at Town Hall in Ernakulam. The funeral will be held at Ravipuram crematorium in Ernakulam at 4.30 pm, as per the director’s wish.
George passed away at an old age home in Kakkanad around 10.15 am on Sunday. As his family was outside Kerala, the body was kept in a mortuary. His wife Salma and son Arun, who were in Goa, and daughter Thara, who was in Doha, arrived in Kochi on Monday.

After the funeral, a memorial event, organised by Malayalam Cine Technicians Association (MACTA) and Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA), will be held at the YMCA Hall around 6 pm.
