Kochi: Malayalam actress Kaviyoor Ponnamma on Friday said that the demise of veteran Malayalam director KS Sethumadhavan was quite shocking to her in every possible way.
In a brief talk with mathrubhumi.com, she recollected the memories of working in the director’s classical movies ‘Odayil Ninnum’, ‘Oppol’ and others. “I am so shocked by this loss. This was unexpected,” she said.
“He was such a humble man, very soft in heart and was such a good-spirited person. Such a huge director, and a huge loss for the film industry as a whole,” she said.
Kaviyoor Ponnamma played the role of Kalyani, a widow and Lakshmi's Mother, who was looked after by Pappu, a rickshaw puller helmed by legendary actor Sathyan in the cult classic movie ‘Odayil Ninnum’.
The film went on to receive a certificate of merit at the National Film Awards and placed KS Sethumadhavan among the list of elite directors in India.
