Thiruvananthapuram: Malayalam movie 'Aattam', produced by Dr Ajith Joy and  directed by Anand Ekarshi bags the Best Film Award in the 47th Kerala Film Critics Award for the year 2023. Anand Ekarshi for this movie has been adjudged as the best director. Biju Menon for his portrayal in ‘Garudan’, and Vijayaraghavan for his character in ‘Pookkaalam’ shares the award for the best actor whereas Shivada for her role in the movie 'Jawanum Mullappoovum' and Zarin Shihab for her role in the movie ‘Aattam’ shares the award for the best actress.

Kerala Film Critics Award is the only private award in Kerala other than the StateAwards, that is adjudged by a Jury after inviting entries followed by award screening.

Last year’s awards were declared by Jury Chairman and President of the Association Dr George Onakkur. The awards were adjudged by a Jury constituted with m/sThekkinkad Joseph, Dr Aravindan Vallachira, Murali Kottakkakam and A Chandrasekhar as members.
