Mumbai: Speculation around Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal expecting their first child has been swirling for months, but a new behind-the-scenes photo has reignited the buzz like never before.

A viral photo from an alleged ad shoot shows Katrina Kaif glowing in a maroon gown, with what appears to be a baby bump clearly visible. While the couple has consistently chosen to stay silent on the matter, the image has fans and social media users convinced that good news might be on the way.

As soon as the image surfaced online, social media erupted with congratulatory messages and emotional reactions.

“So, so happy for her... Congratulations!” one user commented, while another wrote, “I thought we would never get a full body pic of a pregnant Kat, congrats!!!”

Some even mistook the image for a throwback, comparing it to past pregnancy looks of Bollywood actresses. “For a moment I thought it was pregnant Kareena. But wohooo!! Congratulations!” a fan added.

Rumors started with baggy pants and a polka-dot dress

Pregnancy whispers first began in July 2025, when a video of Katrina and Vicky at a Mumbai ferry terminal went viral. Dressed in a loose white shirt and baggy pants, Katrina’s carefully measured steps led fans to believe she might be expecting.

Comments like “Is she pregnant?” dominated the internet for days.

Adding fuel to the fire, a New Year’s Eve photo of Katrina in a polka-dot dress had earlier sparked similar buzz. Social media users couldn’t help but reference the so-called “Bollywood polka-dot pregnancy theory” — linking her outfit to stars like Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone, who wore similar prints during their pregnancies.

Things escalated further on August 7, when a fan-made post claiming the couple was expecting in October or November went viral. Featuring tiny baby footprints and a “family of three” caption, the post was quickly dismissed as speculative fiction.

Neither Katrina nor Vicky, nor anyone from their close circles, has responded to the claims.

Even now, there’s still no official confirmation from the couple.
