Kangana Ranaut, renowned for her outspoken and often controversial opinions, has once again made headlines with her recent comments on the treatment of women in Bollywood. The actress, frequently dubbed as the "Controversy Queen" of the film industry, has brought attention to issues of exploitation and misconduct.

In a recent live event for a media channel, Kangana did not hold back. She alleged that the exploitation of women is rampant within the industry. According to Kangana, male actors often invite women to their homes under the pretext of professional meetings, with the intention of exploiting them. She drew a parallel to the Kolkata rape case.

She stated, "Do you know how these people exploit women? They message women and invite them home for dinner. Look at the Kolkata rape case. I have also received rape threats many times. We know that there is no respect for women. The film industry is no different. College boys comment on women. Heroes are also like this; they are no different. We all know what happens to them at the workplace."

Kangana’s remarks come at a time when the MeToo movement is gaining momentum in the Malayalam film industry, following the release of the Hema Committee report. This movement has brought to light numerous instances of harassment and exploitation.

Kangana also recalled a statement by the late choreographer Saroj Khan. Khan had once addressed the grim reality of rape and sexual harassment in the film industry, noting, "they do rape and also provide the daily bread and butter. This is the condition of our daughters in the film industry."
