Thudarum, starring Mohanlal and directed by Tharun Moorthy, continues to do well in theatres across Kerala. The film, which was released on April 25, has been showered with widespread positive reviews from audiences and critics alike.

Among those praising the film is director Jude Anthany Joseph, who took to social media to express his admiration for Mohanlal’s powerful performance and the brilliance of the Thudarum team. In his emotional post, Jude praised every aspect of the film’s making and extended a special request to Mohanlal.

"Yes, Lalettan (Mohanlal) will continue. Thudarum is truly electrifying! Tharun Moorthy, my brother, you are an exceptional director—I’m now a fan. K.R. Sunil chetta, you are a gifted writer. Jackson's music, Shaji chettan’s cinematography, and Vishnu’s sound mixing—all were simply superb. Prakash Varma, my dear brother, you are amazing. Binu chettan, Shobana ma’am, and every member of the cast and crew delivered outstanding work. Congratulations to Rajaputhra Ranjith ettan and the entire team," Jude wrote.

Concluding his post, Jude made a heartfelt appeal to the superstar, saying, "Laletta, please give me an opportunity to work with you. It’s a dream.”

Thudarum has taken theatres by storm, collecting a remarkable Rs 5.5 crore on its opening day. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, it marks the second-biggest opening for a Malayalam film this year. Topping the list is none other than Mohanlal himself, with L2: Empuraan registering a massive Rs 18.6 crore on its debut day.

Thudarum, which also features the legendary Shobana, managed this feat despite facing multiple release delays. It even outshone several high-profile Vishu releases earlier this year.
