“Thank you for restoring the art form to its original beauty, for keeping the rituals alive, and for instilling them so beautifully,” the actor wrote.

When Malayalis hear Isha Talwar’s name, the first thing that comes to mind is Aisha — the character she played in the romantic drama Thattathin Marayathu (directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan), which also starred Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese and Bhagath Manuel.
Her filmography includes notable roles such as the one in the Prithviraj-starrer Ranam (directed by Nirmal Sahadev) and the widely lauded role of Madhuri Yadav in the Hindi series Mirzapur.
What has caught the attention of her fans — especially in Kerala — is a social media post showing the Thattathin Marayathu star practising Kalaripayattu. Thanking her teachers, Isha shared a photo with them on Instagram, along with a few snaps of her learning the art.
She captioned the post:
“Thank you Padma Shri Guruji Shankar Narayan Menon ji for restoring the form in its original beauty, for keeping the rituals alive and instilling them so beautifully in your family. Thank you Guruji Krishna Das ji, Guruji Dinesh ji and Guruji Rajeev ji for being patient and teaching me.”
Her fans are obviously thrilled to learn about her new endeavour, and many wished her luck. The actor appears to have reconnected with Kerala by taking up training in the martial art.
