The makers of the superhit Malayalam film Hridayapoorvam, starring Mohanlal and directed by veteran filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad, have released a deleted scene from the movie, giving fans a glimpse of a light-hearted moment between the lead actor and Sangeeth Prathap.

In the clip, Mohanlal, who plays a heart transplant patient, is seen getting frustrated during a phone call. Sangeeth, portraying Mohanlal’s caregiver, notices his distress and gently enquires what is troubling him, creating a humorous and touching interaction.

Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas, the film also stars Malavika Mohanan, Sangita Madhavan Nair, Siddique, Lalu Alex, Janardhanan, Sabitha Anand, Baburaj, and Nishan in key roles. The film, praised for its comedy and strong performances, was a box-office success, with the chemistry between Mohanlal and Sangeeth highlighted as one of its strengths.

Sangeeth shared his experience working with the veteran actor, describing it as a “surreal experience.” Speaking to Movie World Media, he recalled a touching moment on the set in Kumily when he fell ill.

"I was down with a fever, and since it was in Kumily, a doctor was brought in to give me an injection. I was asked to rest in the same room where Lalettan was staying. A little later, he came in, enquired with the doctor about my health and the medicines given. What moved me most was when he stood near me, caressed my hair for around 20 seconds, and told me to rest. My eyes filled with tears. He insisted that the day's remaining shoots be cancelled and resumed only the next morning," Sangeeth said.

He added that his bond with Mohanlal grew stronger on the sets of Hridayapoorvam, under the direction of Sathyan Anthikad.

"On the very first day, when Sathyan sir introduced me, Lalettan immediately recalled working with me in Thudarum. That broke the ice, and from then on, I shared many memorable moments with him," Sangeeth said, reflecting on the camaraderie between the actors.

Sangeeth, who had first shared screen space with Mohanlal in the 2024 hit Thudarum, admitted he hardly got a chance to interact with the veteran back then.

"When I told him I was also in Hridayam, he immediately recognised me as the boy who beats Pranav's character in the film. That recognition itself was overwhelming," he said.
