Housefull 5, the latest installment in the popular comedy franchise, has kicked off its theatrical run with an impressive performance at the box office. Starring Akshay Kumar along with an ensemble cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, and several other big names, the film has garnered ₹87 crore in just three days.
According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the film opened on Friday with ₹24 crore, followed by a sharp increase on Saturday with ₹31 crore. The upward trend continued into Sunday, which brought in another ₹32 crore. This steady growth, particularly the strong Sunday numbers, signals robust word-of-mouth and audience engagement.
Sunday, 8 June 2025, saw especially high footfall, with the overall Hindi occupancy recorded at 39.52%. Morning shows began modestly at 17.72%, but attendance peaked during the evening at 54.77%, before settling at 36.78% by night. This surge during prime hours reflects increasing interest among moviegoers.
With its total nearing the ₹90 crore mark, Housefull 5 is on track to enter the ₹100 crore club, possibly as early as Monday. The film’s blend of comedy and a whodunnit twist, along with its high entertainment value, appears to be resonating well with audiences.
Adding to the buzz, Akshay Kumar surprised fans by attending a screening incognito, wearing the “Killer Mask” from the film, and interacting with viewers after the show.
