Actor Vinay Forrt’s response to the Hema Committee report has sparked a widespread controversy. Initially, he admitted, "I haven’t understood or learned anything about it. There’s no use in saying anything just because you ask me about it. I don't talk about a subject I don’t know much about. Isn’t the report about 230 pages long? I haven’t read it. There wasn’t enough time." This statement drew significant criticism.

Vinay Forrt has now addressed the controversy with a more detailed response: “I understand the seriousness of the Hema Committee report,” he said, acknowledging the importance of being informed before speaking on such topics. He also offered an apology if his earlier remarks caused any offense.

Vinay Forrt's response

“The Hema Committee report was released while I was watching the preview of the movie ‘Footage.’ After the screening, I met with some media friends, expecting them to ask for my review of the film. Instead, they questioned me about the Hema Committee report—a lengthy and serious document. I needed time to study it properly; I couldn’t just say whatever came to mind,” he explained.

He further added, “What you saw was just part of what I said at the time. After watching the video, I realized that my body language was not appropriate when responding to questions about the report. I apologize if this hurt my friends.”
