Riteish Deshmukh’s birthday love letter to Genelia is a masterclass in romance and lifelong devotion

Mumbai: As Genelia Deshmukh turned 38 on Tuesday, husband Riteish Deshmukh melted hearts on social media with an emotional and love-filled birthday post for his wife — whom he lovingly called “the heart of our home.”
Sharing a series of heartwarming photos on Instagram — from throwback moments, recent couple snaps, to adorable pictures with their sons Riaan and Rahyl — Riteish’s post was more than just a celebration; it was a heartfelt thank-you letter. Check out the post below:
“Happy Birthday, My Baiko, My Love,” he began. “Today isn’t just your birthday — it’s a reminder of how lucky I am to walk through life with you.” He called Genelia a woman of many roles — a loving mother, devoted daughter, and an unwavering friend — while praising her ability to give her all to those around her, even when exhausted.
“You carry more than anyone realizes,” he wrote, “and still somehow give so much of yourself to everyone around you. You are the glue that holds us together.”
True to their playful dynamic, Riteish couldn’t resist teasing Genelia for being the family’s mischief-maker. “You never fail to embarrass me — with your teasing, your epic leg-pulling, or those stories you love to overshare—but I wouldn’t change a thing.”
The actor lovingly described her as his loudest cheerleader and most loyal teammate: “You’re my anchor and my calm, my favorite teammate in all of life’s chaos.”
Ending on an emotional note, Riteish said, “I love you so so much my baiko — much more than words can fully express, but I’ll spend my life trying to show you.”
The couple’s love story began on the sets of Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2003. They tied the knot in 2012 and now share a beautiful family with their sons Riaan and Rahyl.
