Rapper Hanumankind, whose viral hit Big Dawgs took the world by storm, is set to make history by becoming the second Indian artist to perform at the prestigious Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2025.
Coachella organizers announced the 2025 lineup on Wednesday, and Hanumankind was named among the artists. This achievement makes the Malayali rapper, Sooraj Cherukat, the second Indian artist to grace the Coachella stage, following Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh, who performed at the festival in 2024.
The Coachella 2025 festival will take place across two weekends: April 11-13 and April 18-20, in Indio, California. While the exact date of Hanumankind’s performance is yet to be confirmed, it is expected to be one of the Saturdays—either April 12 or 19.

Coachella 2025 will also feature global music icons Lady Gaga, Green Day, and Post Malone, who will headline the event. Gaga, who performed at Coachella in 2017, shared her excitement about returning to the desert festival, vowing to deliver an explosive performance. "I’ve had a vision I’ve never been able to fully realize at Coachella, but I wanted to come through for music fans," Gaga posted on Instagram. "I am headlining and starting the weekend off at Coachella. Can’t wait to hear you all sing along and dance dance DANCE till we drop."
Other major artists featured in the 2025 lineup include Megan Thee Stallion, Charli XCX, Missy Elliott, Travis Scott, and Brazil’s Anitta. Travis Scott’s performance will be particularly special as he returns to the Coachella stage after his 2020 headline slot was cancelled due to the pandemic, with the rapper promising a unique "desert design" experience for his fans.
