Panaji: The 52nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will conclude at Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Auditorium in Goa on Sunday at 4 pm. The closing film will be Asghar Farhadi’s ‘A Hero’. 148 films from 73 countries have been screened in this season. 15 films will be shortlisted in the competition for the Golden Peacock Award screened during the nine-day festival.

In the Indian Panorama category, 25 films were screened. The Malayalam films in this category were 'Niraye Thathakalulla Maram' directed by Jayaraj and 'Sunny' directed by Ranjith Sankar. 

Five Bengali films, including Parambrata Chattopadhyay's 'Abhijan', five Marathi films including 'Godavari' and ‘Funeral’, four films from Kannada and two films from Hindi were screened in the feature category. The Sanskrit film 'Bhagavadajjukam', directed by Keralite Yadu Vijayakrishnakumar, was also screened in this category.

Actor Nedumudi Venu’s ‘Margam’ was played in the homage section. The retrospective section featured films by Russian director Andrei Antanasovich Kanchelskis and Hungarian director Béla Tarr.
