Actress Geetha Vijayan has voiced her support for the numerous revelations emerging from the film industry following the Hema Committee report. In her statement, Geetha Vijayan shared that she too had faced bad experiences and that she stood up against them despite the consequences. She revealed that she was excluded from many films due to her resistance.

Geetha Vijayan also made serious allegations against director Thulasidas, recounting the harassment she endured during the shooting of the movie 'Chanchattam' in 1991. According to her, she was repeatedly disturbed in her hotel room, with the bell being rung incessantly. When she opposed this, Thulasidas retaliated with vindictive behavior. She struggled for three days, and though he fled when she yelled, he continued his vindictive behavior on set, refusing to even describe the scenes to her. She further alleged that Thulasidas threatened to have her removed from the film industry.

Geetha Vijayan highlighted the importance of the current movement, stating, “Isn't this a powerful movement? A fear has come to all those who have committed violence against women, and that fear is their punishment. That fear should always be there. I hope that such bad incidents will not happen again. Even if it happens, everyone should show courage to oppose it.” She emphasized that this fear of the truth coming to light must persist.

Director Thulasidas, however, denied all these allegations. Speaking to Mathrubhumi News, Thulasidas stated that there were no problems with Geetha Vijayan on the sets of ‘Chanchattam.’ “We were all happy during the filming of the movie. Nothing that relates to a bad experience happened on the film set. I don’t know why she made such an allegation against me”.

In 2006, another actress revealed that she had an unfortunate experience on the sets of the film ‘Avan Chandiyude Makan’. She said that director Thulasidas kept knocking on the door of her hotel room at night, doing so for three or four days. She even filed a complaint with AMMA regarding this.

Thulasidas denied this incident as well, claiming that he never received any communication from AMMA about such a complaint.
