“A lot of people and things that are not meant to be celebrated get ratified on such spaces,” Vinay talks about social media

In a recent interview given to Club FM as part of the promotions for the film Samshayam, actor Vinay Forrt opened up about his acting career and also shared his opinion on social media, revealing his understanding of the whole frenzy around it.
“See, I do spend time scrolling through stuff on Instagram. But quite often, things that are actually not meant for me keep popping up in the feed. It consumes a lot of time. A lot of people and things that are not meant to be celebrated get ratified on such spaces, I feel,” the actor said, sharing his thoughts.
Talking further, the seasoned actor said,
“See, someone like Fahadh Faasil—he uses a basic phone, something that is not sophisticated at all. The man is not active on Instagram; he literally keeps a low profile,” Vinay said, referring to FaFa.
In the conversation with RJ Rafi, Vinay also explained how filmmakers across the country are vying to work with Fahadh, and how at times, a few of them even end up asking him to find a way to ‘reach out to’ the busy actor.
Vinay Forrt's candid revelation once again brings attention to the never-ending debate on the pros and cons of social media, and how today’s generation is manoeuvring the challenges of balancing on and off social media lives—often trying to find equilibrium in their search for inner peace and purpose. Finding tranquility in the digital era is a rather daunting task. And with this interview, it becomes clear that it is not just common people, but even celebrities who deal with such crises of choice in their own journeys.
Meanwhile, Vinay and Fahadh will soon be seen together in Althaf Salim’s comedy movie Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira, which also features Kalyani Priyadarshan and Dhyan Sreenivasan in pivotal roles. The film is expected to hit theatres soon.
