Excise books makers of Omar Lulu’s ‘Nalla Samayam’ movie for promoting substance abuse


Kozhikode: The Excise of Kerala has registered a case against the makers of the movie ‘Nalla Samayam’ directed by Omar Lulu for allegedly “promoting the use of substance” in the teaser of the movie.

The Kozhikode range of the Excise has booked the filmmakers under Abkari Act and Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

The film was released in theatres on Friday. The recently published teaser shows use of psychoactive substances throughout the video and also contains dialogues that promote the use of it, a complaint said.

Actor Irshad plays the lead character in the movie.

Omal Lulu is known for his films Happy Weddings, Chunks, Oru Adar Love and Dhamakka.
