Much to the delight of Mohanlal fans, Babu Anton shared a major throwback picture from the Thampi Kannanthanam directorial ‘Naadody’

Mohanlal, one of the biggest names in Indian cinema, is not just revered for his incredible acting skills but also for pulling off mind-blowing action sequences—often without the help of stunt doubles.
From his early days to his iconic mundu action scene in Spadikam, to the intense combat scenes in Pulimurugan and the recently released Empuraan and Thudaram, the man remains one of the best in the business when it comes to maneuvering villains with hefty blows.
It has been over 45 years, and Malayalam cinema continues to celebrate its beloved star—the one who brings joy to people's faces, makes them weep with heart-wrenching performances, gives them goosebumps as he smashes antagonists, and even gets them dancing with his vibrant steps. Mohanlal is a culturally ingrained, living legend.
Babu Antony Shares Old Photo
Much to the delight of Mohanlal’s legion of fans, veteran action hero Babu Antony—who enthralled audiences in films like Chantha, Rajadhani, and the recently released RDX—shared a major throwback picture from the 1992 action drama Naadody, directed by Thampi Kannanthanam.
In the picture, Mohanlal and Babu Antony (who played the role of Jackson in the film) can be seen engaged in a fierce duel, with Mohanlal showcasing his full flexibility as Babu Antony tries to block a strike from the protagonist.
The photo has gone viral ever since.
It was captioned: “Lal Annan and myself in ‘Naadody,’ one of my most memorable films. Many of you have sent me this still to add. Thank you.”
The vintage photograph is now being celebrated by cinephiles, serving as yet another nostalgic throwback to the golden era of Mohanlal—as he continues to rule the box office.
