It was EMS who first called the actor ‘Comrade Lalitha’

KPAC Lalitha

KPAC is the first woman to hold the post of Chairperson of the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi. To her surprise, this announcement came on the 18th death anniversary of her husband director Bharathan. She received this message from the AKG Centre when she was attending the memorial function at the Vadakkanchery Public Library Hall with the then Co-operation Minister AC Moideen.

The CPM was planning to field Lalitha in the 2016 assembly elections in Wadakkancherry. Lalitha withdrew herself as protests erupted locally.
