Egg freezing is becoming an increasingly open conversation, with more women choosing to speak about fertility planning on their own terms. Here are six stars who have candidly opened up about the deeply personal decision.
Kriti Sanon
Actor Kriti Sanon recently shared that she chose to freeze her eggs a few years ago, before filming ‘Mimi’. Speaking to Humans of Bombay, the 35-year-old explained why she wanted to make the decision on her own terms.
“Honestly, I froze my eggs. So there was a time when I was thinking about these questions, and I never wanted to be tied down to the fact that I need to get married now or I need to have kids now, and I am doing it because I have a timeline.”
Priyanka Chopra Jonas
Priyanka Chopra Jonas revealed that she froze her eggs in her early 30s, allowing herself the freedom to focus on her career while waiting for the right time to start a family. She also shared that the decision was encouraged by her mother.
“I did it in my early 30s. I could continue on an ambitious path that I wanted to achieve. I wanted to get to a certain place in my career. And I also hadn’t met the person I wanted to have children with.”
