Sindhu Krishna, mother of influencer Diya Krishna, has released new details surrounding the financial fraud allegedly carried out by Diya’s former office staff. In her latest vlog, Sindhu expressed disappointment over not identifying the scam earlier, stating she regrets not being able to catch the culprits red-handed.

“They’re extremely criminal-minded. Had Diya questioned them directly at the office, they might have thrown her off the building,” she said.

Sindhu, who had addressed the same issue in a previous vlog two days ago, elaborated on how the scam involving QR code payments was unknown to them until it was too late.

“If only we had known earlier, we could have sent someone to the shop to expose them. The fact that we missed that chance is frustrating. These people blatantly lied on television. That’s how cruel they are,” she said, adding that Diya’s firm, Oh by Ozy, is now shifting to a new office space.

Case and bail status

Sindhu also addressed the ongoing legal battles, clarifying that in the case filed against their family for allegedly abducting the women involved, bail was granted. However, the accused in Diya’s complaint has not received bail.

“People have been asking for updates, but there wasn’t much progress, which is why we stayed silent. Naturally, they’ll now appeal to the High Court,” she said.

She refuted claims made by the former staff during their press conference that they were abducted in a vehicle.

“They themselves got into our Innova, the same car Diya had used regularly until she bought a new one before her wedding. These girls have travelled in it many times. Still, they made these false claims to cover their wrongdoing.”

Sindhu said the case has served as a cautionary tale for others. “A bakery owner we know told us of a similar incident at a medical college. But because the money stayed in their account, it was recovered quickly. Unlike us, they didn’t use the funds to buy property, send siblings abroad or pawn valuables. That’s why it was easier to resolve,” she explained.

Press meet allegations

Responding to statements made by Vineetha and Divya, two former employees, at a press meet, Sindhu said she believes the young women were coached.

“They’re younger than our Ishaani. It’s hard to believe they’re capable of such serious deceit. Even after stealing lakhs, they lie without remorse. Vineetha said I asked about their clothing and phones. Honestly, I don’t even know what phone she uses.”

Sindhu added that she still wants to meet them in person. “When the girls were leaving our office, Kichu (Krishnakumar) was upstairs. Ammu (Ahaana Krishna) and I were downstairs. The video of them leaving was shot by Ammu. I was talking to them there, Kichu wasn’t even in the area. The kind of lies they’re telling is beyond belief,” she said.

She also denied allegations made by Vineetha’s husband, Adarsh, that threats were issued. “He claimed we said things like ‘we’ll kill them’ if money wasn’t returned. Are we the type to say such things?”

The entire dispute, according to Sindhu, could have been handled at their acquaintance Ozy’s flat. “But when the conversation started to escalate, we didn’t want to cause discomfort to others in the flat, so we moved it to our office. We’ve shown that office many times in our videos. These girls know our car very well too. Yet they claim they were abducted in it, it shows how criminal-minded they truly are,” she concluded.
