Dhurandhar has emerged as one of the most successful Indian films at the box office, both in India and overseas. Despite missing theatrical releases in key markets such as the Middle East and Pakistan, the film still grossed over $33 million internationally.

Dhurandhar made its global Netflix debut recently. Within days of its digital release, the film climbed to the top spot on Netflix Pakistan, with viewers eager to see why the Ranveer Singh-starrer had generated controversy.

Screenshots circulating on social media over the weekend showed Dhurandhar trending at No. 1 among films on Netflix Pakistan, ahead of titles such as Tere Ishk Mein, Haq, and The Big Fake. The spy thriller premiered on the streaming platform on Friday, January 30, eight weeks after its theatrical release.

Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh as an Indian intelligence officer who infiltrates criminal gangs in Pakistan’s Lyari region. Blending real-life incidents and figures with a fictional narrative, the film explores India’s war against terror. It did not receive a theatrical release in Pakistan, where Indian films have remained barred from cinemas for several years.
