His much-hyped film Brother, released last year, which featured Bhumika Chawla as his sister and Priyanka Mohan as the female lead, failed to impress at the box office, leaving fans disappointed. In an effort to turn things around, Ravi Mohan's first release of the year, Kadhalikka Neramillai, was launched with great fanfare. The film featured the much-adored Nithya Menen as his co-star and was marketed as a fresh take on love. Unfortunately, the film’s box office performance has been equally underwhelming, with the latest reports revealing that it has managed to gross a modest ₹9 crore — far below expectations for a film with such star power.

Directed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, Kadhalikka Neramillai featured a soundtrack composed by music maestro A. R. Rahman. Despite good music and a promising premise, the film failed to make a considerable impact on audiences, leaving both fans and critics disheartened.
