Ajay had strongly denied any romantic involvement with Raveena

The glamour of Bollywood often conceals intense personal dramas, and few know that Ajay Devgn and Raveena Tandon, a celebrated on-screen pair, shared a romantic bond off-screen too. Their alleged relationship began around 1994 while filming Dilwale, capturing media attention. However, the romance reportedly ended abruptly when Ajay was rumored to have moved on with Karisma Kapoor, sparking a bitter public fallout.
Years later, in a 2000 Filmfare interview, Ajay strongly denied any romantic involvement with Raveena. He claimed she was only a friend of his sister and dismissed rumors of a suicide attempt on her part, calling the claims false and a publicity stunt. Ajay didn’t hold back, branding Raveena as a “born liar” and suggesting she seek psychiatric help, a comment that stirred further controversy.
Raveena, known for her candid nature, also had a tumultuous relationship with Akshay Kumar in the 90s. Their chemistry in blockbusters like Mohra and Main Khiladi Tu Anari made them Bollywood's golden couple. Their off-screen romance reportedly culminated in a secret engagement, which Akshay only acknowledged years later.
However, the relationship eventually soured, allegedly due to Akshay’s infidelity. In a 1999 interview with Stardust, Raveena disclosed that Akshay was hesitant to go public about their engagement. According to her, he feared that acknowledging a committed relationship might tarnish his image and reduce his appeal among his large female fan base.
These relationships, marked by love, drama and public exchanges, remain some of Bollywood’s most talked-about tales, revealing the emotional undercurrents beneath the industry’s glamorous surface. (With inputs from Agencies)
