Even decades after his demise, the popular dialogues of actor and theatre artist Kuthiravattam Pappu continue to delight Keralites everywhere. It’s been 23 years since Malayalees bid bye to the actor and his phenomenal performances.
Now, a heartfelt note by Pappu’s son and actor Binu, remembering his father on his death anniversary, is making rounds on social media. Taking to Facebook, Binu wrote, “Acha, I still wish that I could talk to you and tell you about my day. I miss you everyday, I love you so much.”
Following which, numerous people, including actor Saiju Kurup, art director Manu Jagadh, among others wrote in comments that they too miss the prolific actor.
Kuthiravattam Pappu aka Padamalakshan made his debut in the Malayalam film industry through Ramu Kariat’s ‘Moodupadam’ in 1963. His film career underwent a major turn after he played the character ‘Kuthiravattom Pappu’ in ‘Bhargavi Nilayam’. Following which, he adopted the character’s name as his own.
Meanwhile, Binu Pappu is busy with several new films in the pipeline. He will next be seen in ‘Ayalvashi’, starring Soubin Shahir. The film will hit the theatres on April 21.
