Mumbai: Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan has officially set the release date for his upcoming film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ for Diwali. On Wednesday, he shared a new poster on Instagram, confirming the date with the caption, “Darwaza Khulega… Iss Diwali #BhoolBhulaiyaa3.”

This release will see ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ go head-to-head at the box office with another anticipated film, ‘Singham Again,’ which is part of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe.

The poster features Vidya Balan, who reprises her role as the original Manjulika, alluding to a key scene from the first ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ where the spirit of Manjulika is imprisoned within the palace.

‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ continues the horror-comedy franchise originally led by Akshay Kumar. It is a Hindi remake of the Malayalam classic ‘Manichitrathazhu,’ directed by Fazil, the father of Malayalam star Fahadh Fazil.

Kartik took over the lead role from Akshay Kumar in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2,’ where he played Rooh Baba. In this third installment, he will be paired with Triptii Dimri, known for her role in ‘Animal,’ alongside notable actors like Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit.

Previously, Kartik announced the completion of the film’s shooting on Instagram, sharing a video that showed director Anees Bazmee humorously reprimanding the crew when the monitor displayed Kartik’s wrap-up announcement. The two celebrated the end of production with a hug and a cake-cutting ceremony.

Produced by T-Series Films and Cine1 Studios, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ is set to hit theaters this Diwali. IANS
