Noted writer Benyamin recalled the difficulties faced by director Blessy while making a film based on his iconic novel 'Aadujeevitham'. The novelist says that without Blessy's determination, the film would not have been possible.

"Had it not been for this (Blessy) man's determination, Aadujeevitham would have never happened. Over the course of 16 years, a multitude of challenges presented themselves, one after another, to him. There were days when some mocked that the movie would never come to fruition. Yet, amidst all these troubles, he remained unfazed, responding to each obstacle with an unwavering smile," Benyamin wrote on Facebook.

Written and directed by Blessy, the film features Prithviraj Sukumaran as Najeeb, a Malayali immigrant labourer who finds himself forced into slavery as a goatherd on a secluded farm in Saudi Arabia.

Produced by Visual Romance, "The Goat Life" also features Amala Paul, K.R. Gokul, Hollywood actor Jimmy Jean-Louis and Arab actors Talib al Balushi and RikAby in pivotal roles.

Academy Award winners Rahman and Resul Pookutty have given music and sound design, respectively.
