As Malaika Arora turned 48, actor Arjun Kapoor dropped an adorable birthday wish for his ladylove, saying how she always brings smile and joy, and adding that he will always have her back amid the chaos.
Taking to Instagram, the 38-year-old actor wrote, “Happy Birthday Baby !!! This picture is us. You bring the smile, the joy, the light and I'll always have your back even through the chaos…”
Earlier, it was reported that Arjun and Malaika had parted ways. But the couple debunked the split rumour, and were spotted together at a restaurant for a lunch date.
On Monday, Malaika wrote on Instagram, “As the sun sets on another year & I turn 48, ( in my favourite bathrobe ) I am grateful for the peace, my people and my calm that has been my companion throughout this journey.”
Soon after, numerous netizens have slammed the diva for claiming to be 48, while her real age is 50. According to Google, Malaika was born in 1973 and hence would have turned 50 this year. Many have flocked to the comment section of the actor’s post and slammed her for misleading fans.
"She turns 50 according to wiki and is 12 years older than arjun. She's gorgeous but why hide it and gaslight the people by changing the narrative," wrote a user.
Model and dancer Malaika is best known for her performance in the song ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ from the 1998 movie ‘Dil Se’, starring Shah Rukh Khan.
Before dating Arjun, Malaika was married to actor-director Arbaaz Khan, brother of Salman Khan. After getting married in 1998, they announced their separation in March 2016, and got officially divorced in May 2017.
On the work front, Malaika was last seen in the 2022 film ‘An Action Hero’, in a special appearance in the song 'Aap Jaisa Koi'. The movie stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Jaideep Ahlawat in the lead.
Arjun was last seen in action thriller film 'Kuttey', directed by Aasmaan Bhardwaj. He also has 'Meri Patni Ka Remake' in the pipeline.
