Mumbai: The official trailer for the highly anticipated supernatural-investigation series ‘Andhera’ was unveiled on Friday, offering a chilling glimpse into a world where psychological horror meets crime drama.

Set in Mumbai, the eight-episode Prime Video original follows a harrowing investigation that begins when a young woman disappears under suspicious circumstances.

Leading the case is Inspector Kalpana Kadam, played by Priya Bapat, alongside Jay (Karanvir Malhotra), a troubled medical student grappling with inner demons. As they delve deeper, they uncover secrets that blur the lines between reality and nightmare, drawing them into a world where something sinister lurks just out of sight.

The series also stars Prajakta Koli, Surveen Chawla, Vatsal Sheth, Parvin Dabas, and Pranay Pachauri, forming a compelling ensemble cast.

Directed by Raaghav Dar and written by Gaurav Desai, Chintan Sarda, Karan Anshuman, and Dar himself, Andhera is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Kassim Jagmagia, Mohit Shah, and Karan Anshuman under the Excel Entertainment banner.

"The idea was never to rely on conventional horror tropes," said director Raaghav Dar in a press statement. "Andhera explores fear not just as a supernatural force, but as something psychological--rooted in ambition, guilt, and buried secrets. It's about the darkness we all carry, often unknowingly."

Actor Prajakta Koli, who plays a key role in the series, echoed this sentiment:

"Andhera intrigued me from the start. It’s eerie, yes--but also deeply emotional. My character is impulsive, bold, and sceptical, yet shaken by what she can’t explain. This series is about the survival of truth and identity, and I can't wait for viewers to experience the mystery."
