Kanye West's ex, Amber Rose has accused him of using fashion as a means of control, claiming he deliberately styles his partners in revealing outfits to satisfy his own ego. The model, who dated West from 2008 to 2010, made the allegations during a conversation on Club Shay Shay, asserting that the rapper's influence over his girlfriends’ wardrobes—including Kim Kardashian and Bianca Censori—was about more than just fashion.

“Kanye definitely dressed her like that. He did the same thing to me and Kim,” Rose said, referring to Censori’s recent string of sheer, skin-baring outfits. “He wants other men to desire his woman. He enjoys it when other men are drooling over her,” she added.

Reflecting on her own experiences, Rose revealed that she often secretly changed into baggy clothes whenever West wasn’t around because she “hated dressing provocatively.” She recalled a particularly distressing incident where he pressured her to wear something she was deeply uncomfortable with. “I cried. I remember arguing with him and saying, ‘I don’t f** want to wear this.’ But he told me, ‘You don’t understand, it’s fashion, I’m a genius.’”

West’s styling of his current wife, Bianca Censori, has also sparked controversy. At this year’s Grammys, Censori turned heads in a completely see-through dress, which she initially paired with an oversized black fur coat before discarding it for photographs. The outfit caused such a stir that, according to multiple foreign media reports, police officers escorted the couple out of the event. Later that evening, she appeared at an afterparty wearing a sheer black bodysuit. 

Following their controversial appearance, speculation grew over a possible breakup between Kanye West and Bianca Censori. Reports claim Censori was “horrified” by West’s recent antisemitic remarks on X, adding to the rumours of a split. However, despite the growing speculation, representatives for both West and Censori have dismissed the claims.

West tied the knot with Censori in December 2022, just a month after finalising his divorce from Kim Kardashian, with whom he shares four children.
