Actor Amala Paul revealed that she enjoyed playing the role of Sainu, the wife of Prithviraj's character in the upcoming movie 'Aadujeevitham.'
In an interview with Mathrubhumi.com, she mentioned that her role was relatively easier compared to the challenges faced by Prithviraj in portraying the character of Najeeb, a Malayali immigrant labourer who finds himself forced into slavery as a goatherd on a secluded farm in Saudi Arabia.
"Although Sainu did not need any major physical changes, there was an emotional journey in the film. Sainu is pregnant when Najib leaves. She faces mental agony during that separation. Blessy demands us to deliver those emotions very convincingly. Sainu is a Muslim character of the 80s era. We are shooting it in 2018. It's a live sound. All these were great challenges. However, I didn't face any of the difficulties faced by others, including Prithvi," she said.
Amala couldn't help but shower praise on actor Prithviraj for his remarkable transformation in portraying the character of Najeeb. According to her, this film truly showcases the immense talent that Prithviraj possesses.
"Prithvi is a great actor. But I don't think many people have utilised the talent in him. Only a few films like Classmates and Indian Rupee have really utilized the actor in him. The Goat Life is a similar film. Prithvi is always Najeeb for me. Because all I saw in the schedule was Najeeb. Like you, I am eagerly waiting to see the rest of the scenes," she said.
Produced by Visual Romance, "The Goat Life" also features K.R. Gokul, Hollywood actor Jimmy Jean-Louis and Arab actors Talib al Balushi and RikAby in pivotal roles.
Academy Award winners A R Rahman and Resul Pookutty have given music and sound design, respectively. The film is set to release in theatres worldwide on March 28.
