The trailer of ‘Innocent’ reunites Althaf Salim and Anarkali Marikar in a comedy set for October release, also marking Tanzanian artist Kili Paul’s Malayalam debut.

The official trailer of ‘Innocent’, starring Althaf Salim and Anarkali Marikar, has been unveiled, hinting at a lighthearted comedy rooted in everyday life.
The film marks a reunion for the duo after the success of ‘Mandakini’, and the trailer teases situational humour set against the backdrop of a government office. With playful dialogues and comic timing at its core, the film positions itself as a family entertainer designed to appeal across age groups.
The trailer, first shown in theatres alongside Onam releases earlier today, was later rolled out on social media platforms. The worldwide release of ‘Innocent’ is scheduled for October.
Adding further curiosity, the film introduces Tanzanian social media star Kili Paul to Malayalam cinema. Earlier, both the first-look and second-look posters had already sparked conversation online, and the latest glimpse reinforces expectations of a fun ride packed with laughs.
The ensemble cast features Joemon Jyothir, Azees Nedumangad, Mithun, Noby, Anna Prasad, Lakshmy Sanju, Vineeth Thattil, Aswin Vijayan, and Unni Lalu, among others.
Directed by Satheesh Thanvi, ‘Innocent’ is backed by producer M Sreeraj AKD under the banner Elements of Cinema, which makes its debut production with this project. The institute, known for offering filmmaking experience to aspiring students through collaborations with industry professionals, takes its first step into feature production with the film.
The project is supported by executive producers G Marthandan, Ajai Vasudev, Dixon Poduthas, and Najumudeen. The story is penned by Shihab Karunagappally, while the screenplay and dialogues are co-written by Shihab, Sarji Vijayan, and Satheesh Thanvi.
On the technical front, cinematography is handled by Nikhil S Praveen. The soundtrack is composed by Jay Stellar, with lyrics by Vinayak Sasikumar.
