Actor Allu Arjun arrived at Mumbai airport on Sunday night along with his team, resuming work after a brief pause due to a family bereavement. The star will begin shooting for director Atlee’s much-anticipated sci-fi project on Monday.
Allu Arjun took a two-day break following the passing of his grandmother, Allu Kanakaratnam, who died in the early hours of 30 August due to an age-related illness. The family, including notable members such as Allu Aravind, Chiranjeevi, Allu Arjun himself, and Ram Charan, gathered to pay their respects to the departed matriarch.
How did Allu Arjun honour his grandmother?
Sharing his grief publicly, the ‘Pushpa’ actor posted a photo of his grandmother on X and expressed his thanks for the outpouring of support. He wrote, “Our beloved grandmother #AlluKanakaratnam garu now rests in her heavenly abode. Her love, wisdom, and presence will be missed every single day (sic).”
He added, “Heartfelt thanks to everyone who came forward to share their affection and condolences. To those far away, your prayers and love were felt just as much. Thank you for your Love. Humbled (sic).”
What is next for Allu Arjun?
After his recent appearance in ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, Allu Arjun is now preparing to shoot for the upcoming sci-fi film by director Atlee.
The project stars Deepika Padukone alongside him and involves a large ensemble cast, most of whom are yet to be officially announced.
