Kochi: By dismissing the allegations levelled against him by his former social media manager as baseless, actor Binu Adimali has said that the allegations have caused deep sorrow.

While speaking to the reporters in connection with the controversy, he said that, the statements of Jinesh, his former social media manager, are absurd.

According to the complaint filed by Jinesh, the actor locked him up in a room, harassed him, and destroyed his cameras. Jinesh also said that, the reason behind the unruly behaviour of Binu was based on the misconception that, it was Jinesh who was responsible for the negative comments and criticisms appeared in the actor’s social media accounts. He had lodged a complaint with the police against Binu in connection with the incident.

“Beating up a person at the set of a programme and then smashing their camera . The allegations looks absurd’, said Binu. ‘I won’t be hired by the channel again if such things happen in the set. Doing comedy in such a situation is  impossible. I did a programme there after this alleged incident on the very next day. Wouldn’t the channel file a police case against me if that happened?” asked Binu.

“The police from Palarivattom station had contacted me . They could not find any trace of physical abuse in the  medical report of Jinesh. The camera which was allegedly smashed was also intact,” added Binu.

The actor also addressed allegations made by Jinesh regarding his intentions in visiting the houses of mimicry and dubbing artist Mahesh Kunjumon and the house of late actor Kollam Sudhi. “I was asked to take rest for three months post-accident. The doctor suggested using a walker since I already had a ligament issue on my leg. I did not put on an act while visiting Kollam Sudhi’s home. I was absolutely shocked by these allegations’, Binu said.
