An accident involving Akshay Kumar’s security convoy in Mumbai left one injured. A speeding Mercedes caused an auto-rickshaw to collide with the actor’s security vehicle.

Mumbai: A car part of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's security entourage was hit by an autorickshaw after the three-wheeler was struck by another vehicle near Mukteshwar Road in Juhu on Monday night, leaving one person injured, police said.
The car of the 58-year-old actor, who was returning home with his wife, Twinkle Khanna, from the airport after an overseas trip, was not involved in the collision.
According to police, the autorickshaw was hit by a speeding Mercedes car, causing it to ram into the vehicle that was part of Kumar's security entourage.
The autorickshaw driver was injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital for treatment, police said.
Juhu police has registered a case of rash and negligent driving against the Mercedes driver. Further investigation is underway, they said.
Akshay Kumar has, over the years, been placed under heightened personal security owing to his high public profile, political visibility, and occasional threat perceptions linked to his celebrity status.
Reports in the past have indicated that following specific threat inputs, government agencies assessed his risk level and provided state-assigned security cover, similar to what is extended to several high-profile actors in India.
Such protection typically includes armed security personnel, escort vehicles, and coordinated movement planning, especially during public appearances. While exact security categories are not always officially disclosed for privacy and safety reasons, the actor has often been seen moving with a trained security detail in Mumbai and other cities.
