Mumbai: In a bid to seek feedback on the release of his new movie Housefull-5, Akshay Kumar went undercover and took to the streets of Mumbai. A video of him wearing a 'killer' mask, holding a mic, and interacting with the audience outside a theatre in Bandra was posted on his official Instagram handle.
The actor approached fans near the theatre, asking for their genuine reviews of the comedy-entertainer. One fan described the film as “sexy,” while another called him “entertaining and funny.” Kumar later shared his excitement about the responses and the thrill of going unrecognised. “Bas yun hi I decided to wear the killer mask and interview people coming out of the 'Housefull 5' show at Bandra today. Pakda jaane wala thaa end mein but bhaag gaya us se pehle. Mast experience'' said the actor.
The clipping went viral instantly, and his co-actor Tiger Shroff commented on the post: 'Crazy paaji' followed by several smiling emojis. The post was flooded with laughing emojis from fans all across the nation.
Housefull-5, directed by Tarun Mansukhani, is performing well at the domestic box office, crossing the 50 crore mark in just 2 days with an opening-day collection of Rs 24 crore as per Sacnilk.com.
The film features a star-studded ensemble including Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Jacqueline Fernandez, and others.
